Julia Blasingame, the wife of Gustav Munzesheimer, was the daughter of a very prominent Mineola family who owned the local mercantile store. Julia and Gustav were married in January 1899, by the Episcopal Bishop of Dallas, who, upon his arrival on the Cannonball train, was literally received “red carpet” treatement. Pauline Munzesheimer was the only child born of this marriage (in November 1899) and spent her later years in Dallas until her death in 1987. Decendents of Pauline currently reside in Dallas.
